If you, like Jennifer, have loved Michael Bublé’s music for as long as you can remember and have always wanted to see him live, then we've got good news for you! Jennifer Kennedy previews Michael Bublé's performance at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena.
Michael Bublé, the timeless jazz and contemporary pop singer, will be performing at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena as part of his world tour for his new album Higher. He has two shows lined up in Nottingham, on the 7th and 8th of May 2023 and as this is Bublé’s first nationwide arena tour in more than four years, tickets are selling fast.
Michael Bublé is back with a bang, fresh from his latest Grammy victory for his album Higher, and fans can’t wait for the UK leg of his tour. Visiting cities up and down the country, from Newcastle to Cardiff, we can’t wait to see what Bublé has in store for this tour. Of course, you can expect to hear tunes from his recent album including I’ll Never Not Love You and the titular Higher as well as some of his most-loved hits. Haven’t Met You Yet and It’s A Beautiful Day are also greatly anticipated, along with covers from various genres fused with the true Bublé-style. He successfully marries older jazz vibes with a contemporary pop touch which, sung in his soulful voice, ooze his love for music and performing.
Those who are fans of Bublé are hoping he’ll bring his usual trademark features- big, splashy orchestrations, easy patter and interaction with the audience, and his powerhouse vocals that soar to fill the space with ease. Somehow, he always manages to make a huge venue feel intimate and personal. The quality of his vocal live performance, as powerful and grandiose as his recordings, is always extremely impressive.
Bublé will be accompanied by a 26-piece band and three backing singers, so the music will alone be extraordinary. Add in his smooth and mellow tones, and you have the recipe for a wonderful night. His vocal talent could never disappoint, especially when matched with his charm and charisma, concertgoers are in for a great evening.
Much to many people’s surprise, Bublé is so much more than a Christmas song singer and does exist during the rest of the year. In fact, he has twelve albums, of which only one is full of Christmas music! So, even if you are less familiar with his regular music but enjoy old-fashioned showmanship, a live band, and pop and jazz standards, then try out his concerts in a few weeks and you’ll be in for a treat!
