Notts' very own Stealth is turning 15, and Tristan tells us all about how they plan to mark the occasion in style.
In celebration of their 15th birthday, Stealth are hosting its biggest event to date by throwing a two-day Halloween festival in the grounds of Wollaton Hall. Over the past two decades, Stealth has played host to everyone from Dizzee Rascal to David Guetta and has truly become one of the most renowned venues in the UK clubbing scene. On such a monumental occasion, it is only fair that Stealth are pulling out all the stops and building a tech-house line up that rivals the very best.
Headlining the event on Saturday, we potentially have the hottest prospect currently in the scene. Having garnered a strong reputation amongst underground music fans long ago, Michael Bibi has enjoyed a scarily big rise over the past couple of years. Since co-founding Solid Grooves Records alongside friend PAWSA in 2015, Bibi has reached both critical and commercial success. Aside from scooping awards for his scintillating live sets, Bibi has become a regular face in sunny Ibiza; it’s no secret that Ibiza is something of a second home to the London lad. Bibi has always let the music do the talking, and if you aren’t convinced already, expect a masterclass of persuasion on Saturday 26th October.

Joining Michael Bibi is Radio 1 stalwart Danny Howard – arguably one of the world’s most respected dance broadcasters and taste-makers. Aside from his reputation of putting on upbeat, ‘full-on club vibe’ DJ sets, Howard has also helped unearth talents such as Martin Garrix and Rudimental, as well as releasing tracks for Bibi’s ‘Ibiza Buddies, Solardo’. In addition to making waves on the radio, his ear for underground talent has certainly enhanced his reputation as one of the biggest figures in British electronic music.
Headlining on Sunday, we’re treated to the jaw-dropping combination of Denis Sulta and Patrick Topping. Having cut his teeth on the ever-abundant Glasgow circuit, Sulta has become one of the most renowned names in the electronic scene. Impressively, he became the highest placed newcomer on the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ poll, before going on to host sold out nights at the likes of Manchester’s Warehouse Project and London’s iconic Printworks. Going back to back with Denis is Patrick Topping – arguably the biggest name on the line-up. It feels like Patrick has been around forever, and he certainly deserves his reputation as the king of British house and techno. Having dominated the scene with Be Sharp Say Nowt, Voicemail (ft. Green Velvet), and Forget, Topping is forever on the search for new and interesting ventures. Fresh from curating his new label Trick, Topping is putting on some insane shows across Europe; examples include his own Warehouse Project featuring Stealth favourites Eats Everything and KETTAMA, and a huge show at Amsterdam Centraal station with electro icon Krystal Klear. Both will be special, but should be no less phenomenal than a four hour back to back set with Denis Sulta.
Propping up the bill on Saturday are tech mainstays Seb Zito and Archie Hamilton, both regular residents at FUSE, London. Alongside them, we have Nottingham born Joe Bradley, under the moniker Latmun. First gathering attention as a Stealth resident DJ back in 2015, Latmun has since reached the upper echelons of the tech-house scene, helped along his way with the backing of pioneers such as Green Velvet. Back on home turf, Latmun’s set shouldn’t be one to miss.

Alongside this impressive line-up, ravers can expect to see Nottingham's best street-food vendors & pop-up bars, as well as Halloween themed cocktails and a fancy-dress theme. Thankfully, the weather should not be an issue, with the 12-hour party taking place under a custom-built Festival structure each night – all with Nottingham’s own haunted house as a fitting backdrop.
