Chicago’s Meat Wave to play JT Soar on November 28th

Meat Wave are constantly being asked about their name, but they get why you would. Pulled from a classic headline in The Onion, the Chicago-based trio have released their new album Delusion Moon via new home SideOneDummy Records.

The culmination of what’s been a whirlwind few years for Chicago’s Meat Wave, September 18th saw the trio release their long-awaited Delusion Moon album, and you can stream it in full here.

Delusion Moon is a record that works as one interlocking piece. Focusing on lunar cycles and the concept of moon sickness [nb: it’s the dark side of the moon, yes, but not as you know it], Meat Wave put themselves in other peoples’ shoes and attempt to work through the insanity of our modern world. It’s a record that’s varied, versatile and endlessly venomous, from the agitation and unease of ‘Network’ and ‘Cosmic Zoo’ to the snarky social commentary of ‘The Gay Contempt’.

Ultimately, Delusion Moon is a cunning satire – an attempt to find clarity among the madness, sucking everyone in and uniting them all in the way only this band can.

You can stream the entire album for free now on YouTube.  The full album is below:

You can also catch Meat Wave on their tour of the UK in November.  They’re playing a run of 8 dates spanning all of England, however the date that’ll interest you most is November 28th, where they’ll play our very own JT Soar.
