(1) How did you get into music?

I got into music accidentally, besides my dad being a musician. It was my old music teacher that just gave me her acoustic guitar that started everything. I figured I might as well learn how to play it.

(2) Who would you say have been your biggest influences?

My biggest influences musically/lyrically are Bon Ives & Feist. I think as artists they’ve really craved their own lanes and shaped what modern folk music is today.

(3) Would you say you prefer being in the studio recording new material or playing live shows?

I think that’s hard for me to decide. I currently have the studio bug and I’m having fun rediscovering myself in the studio again, so I’d say currently I love being in the studio.

(4) What was the first music festival you went to – as a fan or indeed as an artist?

The first festival I went to as a fan was Field Day, but I’d say I more count the first festival I played at as my memorable festival moment. I played at Green Man in Wales and just totally got what I was missing out on all these years.

(5) Do you have a favourite venue/city to play live? (They don’t have to be the same!)

My favourite venue is Brixton Academy, I’ve seen so many shows there as a teenager! From Wombats to Paramore, I’ve had some of my favourite memories in there. It was crazy playing there a few years ago!

(6) If you had to only play festivals or headline sets for the rest of your career, which would you prefer?

I’d only play headline sets for sure! There’s so many venues in the U.K. that I’d still love to play and really put on a show and experience the with visuals!

(7) Do you have a favourite song to play live?

It always changes but I love playing ‘Does It Get Easier?’! I play a bit of percussion on the big chorus and it’s such a good feeling playing it live.

(8) What are your ambitions for the future?

I really want to venture more into the food world and open my own vegan Jamaican restaurant!

(9) If you could have written one song in history yourself, what would you have preferred it to be?

I would love to have written Crazy By Gnarls Barkley, one of the best pop vocals of all time!
