Jake Longhurst previews the up-and-coming fest on every rock lover's radar, 2000Trees.

2000Trees Festival is the biggest party of the summer. Bringing some of Britain and the world's best punk- and metal-oriented acts to the gorgeous rolling hills of the Cotswolds for four days each July, it’s a permanent fixture in many an alt-heads diary. This year, having headliners like Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Bullet For My Valentine, and Soft Play (formerly known as Slaves) is an offer that’s just too good to pass up. That said, most of the rest of the bill frankly would do the job if you separate it all down, as the strength of the Trees lineup is never anything to sniff at, and for the 2023 edition, this is no different.

Artists like Skindred, Kid Kapichi, Chubby & The Gang, and Electric Six will bring the party and the energy, whilst such groups as American Football, The Wonder Years, and Hundred Reasons will let a mellower sound float across the festival grounds, and the heavier crowd can enjoy Chelsea Grin, Employed To Serve, Heriot, Kublai Khan TX and Svalbard! With an eclectic range of acts, a wonderfully friendly atmosphere, and one of the best line-ups of the summer, it’s frankly ludicrous if you don’t consider going to 2000Trees Festival.
