Samson Announces New Single ‘Friday’

Coventry rising hip hop sensation, Samson released his BRAND NEW single ‘Friday’ on 8th September 2013 and will be releasing the video this sunday.

Since the release of his debut mix tape, Beautiful Struggle in May this year, Samson’s music has sparked an interest in Coventry and around the country. Samson is also due to perform his university tour starting 17th September at Brunel University as well support UK rapper Dappy in Leamington Spa on 26th September 2013.

Samson recently appeared in this year’s Godiva Festival in Coventry where he headlined with his label mate Pest to a capacity crowd of 5,000 people. In addition to this he and his team launched their very own clothing line at their ‘The Princeton Kings’ exhibition with performances from himself and other up and coming UK acts.

Samson’s music takes its influence from artists such as hip-hop 2pac; it has an urban flow which is complemented by the truth of the lyrics which are mostly accounts of his own personal life.

The new single ‘Friday’ is inspired by Ice Cube’s film with the same title which features UK Grime superstar Artist J Spades.

This song is perfect for a chilled out Friday evening with friends, where you are all celebrating the good life. It has a very strong feel good vibe. The use of reverb and the overall mix gives the song a very expansive, large sound. The verses are very impressive. The delivery is catchy, filled with clever little double entendre and coupled with the intelligent use of metaphors and similes.

Be sure to check out the video for Samson’s new single ‘Friday’ on 22nd September.
