Empire of the Sun release new track ahead of upcoming new album release

As they prepare to release their third studio album, ‘Two Vines’, on October 28, alt-electro pioneers Empire Of The Sun have shared a further taste of their new music with ‘Way To Go, which is available to download now when pre-ordering the album.

The band debuted their spectacular, larger-than-life live show last week at a sold out Roundhouse in London in their first ever UK headline date to ecstatic praise. Empire Of The Sun are now genuine stars” (****), said The Independent, “by the end the stage was like a cross between Flash Gordon and Burning Man” (****), commented The Times, while the Daily Star noted “The standing ovation was well-earned”. Empire Of The Sun have recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Later… Jools Holland, where they played ‘High & Low’ from a stage transformed into a striking unearthly garden, prompting Boy George to take to Twitter, saying “@EmpireOfTheSun genius on Jools! Proper pop star!”.

Recorded in Hawaii and Los Angeles, ‘Two Vines is co-produced by Empire Of The Sun and Peter Mayes (Sia, The Killers, Mika), alongside long term collaborator, Donnie Sloan (Midnight To Monaco) and it sees the creative circle expanding, with esteemed pianist/arranger Henry Hey and bassist Tim Lefebvre, from David Bowie‘s Blackstar band, featuring heavily on the album. Factor in Wendy Melvoin from Prince‘s Revolution and Fleetwood Mac’s genius guitarist/vocalist Lindsey Buckingham, and the Empire’s rainbow has never been so vast and colourful.. Empire Of The Sun – Two Vines is released October 28th on Virgin EMI
