Dodie the 23-year-old singer, songwriter and YouTuber from Epping, Essex is coming to Rock City on 20th March.
Following the release of her new EP ‘Human’, Dodie is taking her new music around Europe and the UK and then in September, will start her North American tour. Her new album features Best Breakthrough Act at this year’s Brit Awards, Tom Walker, so with support from the likes of him, Dodie is one to watch and maybe this will suggest we’ll be seeing her at some award shows soon. Her music carries a chill tone with the folk-pop genre, however can pack a punch with songs such as “Monster”.
Dodie is mostly known to others as her YouTube persona ‘Doddleoddle’ where she originally began her musical routes, uploading videos of her own songs and quirky renditions of some of her favourites. Some of her most famous covers are “Death of a Bachelor” by Panic! at the Disco and “City of Stars” from ‘La La Land’. Dodie’s subscriber count now stands at 1.8 million and her more ‘chatty’ channel Doddlevloggle has 908K subscribers; so it’s no wonder why some of her UK shows are already selling out!
There are still tickets left for Dodie’s show at Rock City so don’t miss out! And make sure to come back and check out our review of her Rock City show here at The Mic Magazine.
